Charity and Development Appeal (CDA)
The Charity and Development Appeal (CDA) is the one Diocesan appeal that asks every Catholic family to financially and prayerfully support the more than 65 educational, charitable and spiritual organizations which counsel, feed, clothe, house, educate and comfort those in need throughout the four Arizona counties (Mohave, Maricopa, Coconino and Yavapai) within our Diocese.
The CDA serves the needs of our local communities beyond the boundaries of any one parish. As a result more people are served across communities as well as within parishes.

CDA funds are restricted and reserved to be expended only for the publicized purposes of the appeal. The total available for allocation each year is calculated by estimating the total pledges to be received by the current campaign, subtracting an allowance for pledges that will not be collected, and adding any unexpended funds that may remain from prior campaigns. The cost of fundraising for the 2010 Charity and Development Appeal was $540,640 or 6.75% of the total allocated.
